The Ugly Duckling

Let's dramatize a classical literary fairy tale by the Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen!!

The ugly duckling
You may use handmade craft stick-puppets in order to act out the tale and help your students enrich their vocabulary on adjectives. You may even use this activity to teach the comparative and superlative form relatively to each stage of the tale.

 However, the main target of this activity will be to focus on subjects like acceptance, being different, determination, identity, assimilation, beauty standards, equality.
Teachers should encourage students to express themselves and make an analogy between the duckling's feelings and their own possible ones. Students should make sentences using the verbs thinks and looks to talk about feelings and appearance.
