The Ugly Duckling

Εικόνα
Let's dramatize a classical literary fairy tale by the Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen!! The ugly duckling You may use handmade craft stick-puppets in order to act out the tale and help your students enrich their vocabulary on adjectives. You may even use this activity to teach the comparative and superlative form relatively to each stage of the tale. Young and Ugly! Still Ugly!!  However, the main target of this activity will be to focus on subjects like acceptance , being different , determination , identity , assimilation , beauty standards , equality . Teachers should encourage students to express themselves and make an analogy between the duckling's feelings and their own possible ones. Students should make sentences using the verbs thinks and looks to talk about feelings and appearance. Thinks - Looks The process of transformation Good Luck, Maria P.

Snow white teaches us new vocabulary

Puppets in English Teaching.. Our Snow white hates apples!! Use Snow white and the dwarfs in order to teach new vocabulary and adjectives in a recreational way. Puppets can be used as an effective teaching aid which can facilitate the learning process. Moreover,  in this way you motivate your students to come up with stories and use the puppets to portray the different characters. So your students can pick up a dwarf or Snow white, come up with different voices for each character, mimic the actions, act out imaginary scenes and develop their social and motor skills while consolidating their vocabulary. Puppets in English Teaching Doc knows better! Good Luck, Maria P.
